The embed problem is documented, not theoretical
Embedding code at all requires upgrading to Squarespace's Business plan or higher — it's not available on the cheaper tiers. And once it's in, business owners have reported their embedded widgets getting artificially boxed in by Squarespace's block layout, unable to grow to the size the widget actually needs.

In July 2026, Squarespace raised prices by up to 26% — its Core plan went from $23 to $29/month — with much of the increase attributed to AI features many subscribers hadn't asked for. That's the platform's call to make, not yours.
